70's pale blue long nightgown size 14

This beautiful gown is unworn with the swing tag still attached. Made in NZ by "scamp". The fabric is textured nylon lace, and there is a deep 26 cm (10 inch) embroidered lace frill around the hem. Size 14, the maximum under bust measurement is 100 cm (39 1/4 inches), the length from the underarm to the hem is 116 cm (45 1/4inches).

30's pink art silk lounging pyjamas size OS

A lovely pair of lounging pyjamas from the 30's. They are made from salmon-pink brushed art silk. This fabric was an early synthetic (rayon) and the "art" is short for "artificial". The fabric is quite heavy and has a beautiful drape Garments made from this fabric are hard to find now. Sweet styling, kind of half masculine/half feminine, with a half collar (at the front only), sleeves that are pleated at the top where they join the yoke,and a 1 1/2 cm ( 3/4 inch) sash that ties at the back to nip the waist in. The wide legged pants are pleated onto a 2 c1/2m (1 inch) waist band, there is a slit at the top of the side seam, so you can get them on, and they tie at the side. The bust measures 102 cm (40 inches), the sleeve seam is 49 cm (19 inches), armpit to wrist, the waist is 69 cm (27 inches) , the leg length is 108 cm (42 1/2 inches) from waist to hem, the pants hem is 66 cm (26 inches) around.
The pants are flawless, but have been worn, the top has a small amount of pilling just above the yoke at the left front, this is in the same area as a small, faint 1/2 cm ( 1/4 inch) stain, it looks to be a stone fruit stain and I haven't been able to remove it. Also the sash has begun to pull out of the side seam on the right hand side, this is one stitch-width. There are some irregularities in the weave of the fabric, which I think is consistent with the era in which it was manufactured. There is no manufacturer's label, only a small label stating the size sewn into one of the shoulder seams.

white empire line mid length gown

This gown is from "Est and Co" ?th Ave New York. The label is partly frayed so the size is no longer visible. The colour is cream. The bodice has a softly gathered sheer overlay, with a floral blue and white machine made lace applique above each breast. The sheer wide straps are gathered at the shoulders and at each end. The bodice is shaped . The skirt has a sheer concertina pleated overlay. There is a shoestring width sash to nip the waist in. This lovely garment is in good condition, with some signs of wear. A few stitches have come undone at the back of one of the straps (where is ataches to the garment). The gathering stitches at the shoulders are partly undone on one of the straps. The bust measurement is 90cm (35 1/4 inches) at the armpits. The side seam measures 82 cm (32 inches) from the armpit to the hem.

sheer pink grecian style gown size 36

A beautiful gown made by "GMC for better value". Softly concertina pleated all over. The bodice is tied at the shoulders. The waist is shirred, with the elastic still in very good condition. The only faults that I can find are that one side of the bodice seems to be less firmly pleated than the other, and there is a little bit of stretching in the shirring on one side near the seam. The length from the top of the waist band to the hem is 104 cm (41 inches)

pink viyella pyjamas size 32

I'm not sure how old these are, but they have a 60's looking embroidered cloth label.
The faburic is viyella, which is a wool/cotton blend, making them warm but not scratchy. They are a size 32, to fit a 32 inch (81 1/2 cm) bust, the maximum measurement in the bust is 91 cm (36 inches). The waist measures 48 cm (19 inches) unstretched and 86 cm (34 inches) stretched. The maximum hip measurement is 104 cm (40 3/4 inches). These are very beautifully made, with fine white piping along the cente fronts, collar and at the top of the pocket. There are a couple of tiny moth holes at the bottom of the front of the right leg.and a 1/2 cm (1/4 inch) hole in the sleeve at the underside of the left wrist. The label on this gown is very firm, indicates that it has had little or no washing. The fabric is nylon and rayon. Very demure-looking, until you notice that the keyhole neckline is open nearly to the high waistband. The bodice is embellished with 2 rows of ruffled lace, the lace also trims the elasticesed puff sleeves. The front of the skirt is gathered onto the waistband. There are ties at the back to nip in the waist. A lovely gown in perfect condition. The bust measures 90 cm (35 inches) measured at the armpits, the waist measures 84 cm (33 inches) maximum, the hip size is free. The length from the armpit to the floor is 118 cm (46 1/2 inches).

pink gown with ecru lace and sheer overlay

A delightful soft pink gown from the 40's or 50's. I am unable to read the label, but the fabric feels like nylon. The bodice is slightly gathered under the bust, and fitted, with an overlay of sheer fabric and ecru lace. The back of the bodice is plain, with a 2.5 cm (1 inch) lacetrim around the top. Lovely 3 1/2 cm ( 1 1/2 inch) wide straps of sheer fabric and lace . The skirt has an overlay of sheer fabric, with 2 1/2 cm ( 1 inch) lace trim around the hem. The bust measurement at the armpits is 84 cm (33 inches), the length from armpit to hem is 110cm (43 inches). This little beauty has seen quite a lot of wear, and has some damage. There are pulls and a 14 cm ( 5 1/2 inch) tear in the sheer overlay of the skirt. The tear is at the rear of the garment. There are some breaks in the stitching sewing the lace to the shoulder straps, and bodice, and around the hem of the underskirt. A beautiful used garment at a bargain price.

Lovely simple white nylon gown, with the original tag still attached. Hard to find larger size. The measurement under the bust is 40 inches (102 cm), the cups are gathered at the base, so it could fit a larger breast, depending on how much coverage you want.The length from armpit to hem is 35 1/2 inches (90cm). There is a double line of shirring on each side at the waist for shape. The front closes with 2 buttons. The cups and hem are trimmed with a 2 1/2 inch (6 1/2 cm ) double layer of sheer nylon overlayed with s 2 inch (5 cm ) wide strip of floral lace.The sheer nylon continues across the top of the back. Adjustable nylon ribbon straps. Flawless

pink nightdress with sheer accordian pleat detail

A very sweet full length pink gown. There is no label of any sort and I think it might be home sewn. The seams are overlocked, so perhaps that means it was made in the 60's. The cap sleeves an top of the bodice are madeof sheer accordian pleated nylon edged with fine eyelash lace. The bottom part of the bodice is gathered onto the waist band. There is fine elastic at the back of the waist for shape. This is a difficult garment to measure due to the gathering, so I have tried it on, it fits well and my measurements are bust 100cm (39 inches) waist 77 cm (30 inches) and hips 102 cm (40 inches), the length from underarm to hem is 113 cm (44 1/2 inches). There are a few small faults with this garment, a tiny hole about the size of a match head on the right hand side of the bodice near the armpit, a small spot , barely visible on the right front near the hem, and some of the stitching is a little uneven.

30's pink floral rayon satin gown, handsewn

Beautifully hand sewn in pink rayon satin which is strewn with little sprigs of pink roses. The gown is sweetly styled The bodice is made like cups, and slightly gathered onto the skirt of the garment. The neckline, sleeves and hem are trimmed with a 1 1/2 cm (1/2 inch) ruffle made from a double layer of the fabric. There is a 34 cm (13 1/2 inch) split shaped like an inverted v at the centre front. There is a generous 6 cm (2 1/4 inch) fabric sash to nip in the waist, and a cute little patch pocket with a frill edging the top. Fabulously slinky, drapes beautifully. Unfortunately it is too small to photograph on my model. The measurement around at the underarm is 73 cm (28 1/2 inches). The length from underarm to hem is 112 cm (44 inches). There are some irregularities in the fabric,a couple of tiny holes near the hem, and the stitching at the top of the pocket has come unravelled a little bit.

late 60's early 70's floral nylon robe

This is a cutie. Short sleeved housecoat, robe, dressing gown in nylon. Label says it is a size 14. The gown is gathered onto a yoke and buttons all the way down the front. The neckline is trimmed with a very minimal lace, there is frilly lace trimming the yoke, sleeves and hem. The garment is meant to be a loose fit and go over a nightgown. The bust measures 38 inches (97 cm) around at the armpits and the length from shoulder to hem is 39 inches (100 cm). The background is off-white with a print of flowers and leaves. The outline is grey, and the flowers are filled in in yellow and orange. There is a pocket inset into one of the side seams. This is a very sweet garment with just one fault that I can find, a little bit of the lace (about 1 cm or 1/3 inch) has been missed by the sewing machine on the bodice, this is a manufacturing fault.

vintage 50's white chiffon and lace nightgown 36

This is a beautiful white nightgown from the 50's. The embroidered cloth label says "Eyeful" by The Flaums". Size 36. The fabric is nylon. Nylon underskirt and bodice lining. The overskirt is sheer nylon, with 4 circular lace insets 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) in diameter. The hem is scalloped and edged with pale blue satin. The same satin forms the tie belt and straps, which cross over at the shoulders. The boice has a lace overlay, which is plain at he back, and has a crossover detail at the front. The bust measurement is 36 inches (92 cm), The waist is 29 3/4 inches (76 cm). The hips are free. Huge 106 inch (270 cm) sweep. Total length is 42 inches (107 cm). No picks in the fabric that I can find. The stitching that joins the bias cut satin in the straps is coming undone on one of the straps. That's the only fault that I can find. Utterly lovely. vintage 60's sheer white lace robe gown

Made by Triola in 100% nylon. This is a very nice mid to late 60's sheer all-over lace swing style short robe or gown. The short sleeves, neckline, hemline and bodice are trimmed with gathered white floral lace. The front fastening is a single button and loop, with a white nylon tie at the neck.
The bust measurement is 43 inches (110 cm) measured around under the armpits. The centre back length is 32 inches (82 cm). The sweep is 105 inches (267 cm).
This lovely garment is in excellent condition, I cannot find any faults.

vintage 50's pale blue bedjacket lace smocking

A really pretty pale blue bedjacket from the 50's or possibly the 40's. I think the fabric is rayon, it doesn't say on the label. The ruffled lace which trims the front neckline and the fine lace trimming the front edge, hemline pocket and bottoms of the sleeves is very soft. It is a pale ecru colour. There is smocking at the shoulders. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulders. The neckline fastens with a pussy bow. The woven cloth label says "trousseau by Ferris". The measurements are

A lovely white nylon lace gown styled in Australia by Hickory Scamp. It is a size 12. The meausrement under the bust us 30 inches (77 cm). The centre back length is 45 inches (116 cm) from the centre of teh bdoice to the hem. Demure but sexy nylon broderie anglaise style lace with a fancier lace bodice and hem. The straps are 1 inch(2 1/2 cm) wide pink satin ribbon. The same ribbon forms a belt at the empire style waistline. The centre front fastening is a tiny white button and loop with a keyhole opening below it. This garment has been worn but is in excellent condition with no faults that I can find.

vintage 40's pink art silk nightgown

"Art silk", short for "artificial silk" is an early synthetic fabric. It is a knit fabric and drapes beautifully. This lovely nightgown is in the most common art silk colour, a salmon pink. There is only a size label (woven cloth) which gives the size as "OS". Very simple elegant styling, The bodice has a deep v-neckline. There is gathering at the top and bottom edges of the bodice. The sleeves are little cap sleeves. There is a tiny scalloped edge all the way around the neckline. There is a 1/3 inch wide self fabric sash to nip the waist in with. The measurements are as follows. Bust (measurement across the back at the underarms, doubled - 37 inches (94 cm) Waist 32 inches (82 cm) Hips 33 inches (86 cm) Centre back length 51 1/2 inches (131 cm) Sweep (measurement around hem) 60 inches (153 cm) There are some age-related faults with this lovely gown, they are - a small hole the size of a match head at the back near the hem on the left hand side. a couple of small pinhed sized holes on the back left near the armpit, possible made by pegs a small, very well done medn at the centre front where the bodice joins the main garment there has been a snap fastener sewn at the edge of the front, and you can see where it has been if you look closely there is a tiny split in the armhole seam on the right side at the armpit there is a little bit of fraying of the scalloping stitch at both armpits POSTAGE IS FREE WORLDWIDE more pictures
